RequirementsRequirements to adopt:: | Must be 18 years | | Renters must have a letter from landlord stating number and kind of animals allowed | | Marines residing on base (MCAS-Yuma) must have prior approval by Michelle Nixon before adopting. | | All household members are required to meet your prospective pet prior to adoption. | | State law requires every pet adopted from our shelter be spayed or neutered. Although many of our guests have already undergone this procedure, for those who have not an appointment will be scheduled to for your pet to be spayed or neutered. Therefore, it is our policy that you not take your new pet outside Yuma County prior to the required procedure. | | Pet deposits must be paid and proof provided, before an animal can go home. |
