Support our work
Join the Humane Society of Yuma
As a Humane Society of Yuma Y-PAWS member you'll make a lasting mark on how Yuma treats its homeless and unwanted animals. Your contribution will help us provide homeless animals with the love, care and support they deserve. A big thank to those who have already joined. Get your paw today and join the club where membership means you care.
Web sponsorship
Although we can't be open 24 hours a day for our animals to find homes, our web site can do the work for us. Help us maintain this means of saving lives by sponsoring an adoptable animal photo.
Kuranda beds
Our dogs love to sleep on Kuranda Dog beds, but we don't have enough for everyone. If you would like to donate a bed at a special wholesale price for a another dog to sleep in comfort, please click here.
Change jars around town
"Your change for our change." You may have seen this statement in various retailers around town on our change jars. This program has become a great revenue generator for the Humane Society of Yuma. We would like to recognize the retailers who have donated some of their counter space to help us help the animals. Please visit these businesses and tell them you appreciate American Self Storage

Pet memorials
A special area at the Humane Society of Yuma has been dedicated to people who want to create a notable memorial for their loved pets or family members.
A memorial rock garden is on display for people to make a tax deductible contribution to the Humane Society of Yuma. The Memorial Rock Garden is located at the Humane Society of Yuma.
RooBee's Rescue Fund
We have seen an increase in cruelty cases. This fund allows us to be able to provide medical attention while the case is being investigated. RooBee is a Bassett Hound that was found in a trash can with a broken leg and various other injuries. The Yuma community came through to help pay for her treatment until she could find her forever home.
Monies donated to this program will be held until needed by our Animal Control Department. Your donations can also assist us in putting together rewards when we need the public's help in finding suspects of animal cruelty.
Event sponsorships
The Humane Society of Yuma holds 3 events per year with various ways of helping underwrite event expenses. Please contact Elkie Wills at the HSOY for more details. Sponsors and item donors are needed for Critter Country in February, Fore Paws Classic in April, Fur Ball in August and Walk n Wag in November

New shelter
In addition to our needs of today, we are also in the middle of fundraising for a desperately-needed animal shelter.
The current facility has far outlived its ability to meet the needs of today, and certainly is unable to meet the needs of the future. The aging shelter, with inadequate drainage, poor ventilation, and a deteriorating structure, is unable to provide a safe, healthy, and humane environment for the thousands of animals coming through the doors each and every year.
