Interested In Adopting An animal?
We are thrilled that you are interested in adopting an animal from the Humane Society of Yuma. Please follow the steps below to begin the adoption process.

Once your adopter information sheet has been approved, an adoption counselor will reach out to you to review your adopter information sheet and schedule a meet and greet. In the meantime, please read our adoption FAQ to answer any questions you may have.
Tips for a successful adoption
You must be 18 years or older to fill out an adopter information sheet
- Adopter information sheet processing time is between 24-72 hours
- Please double check contact information before submitting
- Make sure to list the name of the animal(s) that you are interested in on the adopter information sheet
- It is recommended to have a voicemail box that is set up
- Check email/spam folder as the adoption staff will often contact via email
- If you are not contacted within 72 hours, you can contact the adoption staff at 928-782-1621 to check on the status of your adopter information sheet

Home-To-Home Direct Adoption Opportunities
Home-to-home gives people who can no longer keep their pets the opportunity to find new, loving homes without having to drop pets off at the shelter. Pets go from one home to another.
